Thank you so much, A! A few readers said similar things to me when I first started writing in Substack, and I think that’s what first put the idea in my head to try writing a poem or two.
Interesting. I see the world differently but that is to be expected since we are different people with different experiences. It is good to look through the lens of others, especially people like you who actually experience their lives in the moment.
Thank you so much for reading and commenting, Jim! I’m so happy to get to interact with readers whose perspectives are different than mine. How dull it would be if we all viewed everything in exactly the same way!
Ah, Lisa ❤️. You light my path when I’m in despair. My brain forgets you exist for long periods, then I’m gifted with something like this. I have been lost from myself for a while again and the Forest path is dark and I’ve read enough stories and lived enough lives to know that something will eat the breadcrumb trail I leave and I don’t know if I’m real or a figment of my own imagination. I do know that I am an unreliable narrator. However, even when i don’t remember who I am and I don’t even remember you exist , there you are- a tiny light in the vast darkness to help me think that I just may still be. I may be a me I was at one time, a me I made up of whole cloth, or a me that is a tattered Joseph’s coat of many colors. So I print your words and put them in my binder of “IMPORTANT THOUGHTS” and the universe has given me grace for another day. Thank you so much.
Marie, dear, thank you so much for your comment! It makes my day to hear from you. You are real - you are so real. And so are brain fog and memory loss - so real and so painful. I’m sending a hug out into the world and hoping it finds you!
Even your prose is a poem! I really feel this one. Thank you for sharing it. 🧡

Beautiful. Powerful. Pointed. Loving. Beautifully, powerfully, pointedly loving. Thank you.
Thank you, Judy! 💕
